This last weekend Kris went down to Chengdu to get us a hot water tank. And a faucet for the bathroom sink, and a new toilet… Yeah, things weren’t working too well in our home the last 6 weeks. But its all fixed now and everything works again! When Kris was in Chengdu, Adi said, “I think that when Baba comes back, he will have missed his daughter so much he will want to take just her on the cable cars.” How can you resist that?! So today we finally were able to work in a day off, and Kris and Adi got to go on their date. The pictures without Adi in them were taken by Adi herself.

At the top. They had tea together and saw the “stuffed” yaks.
As Adalia reported afterwards, “It was too silly!”

Heading down. Adi took this picture as well. There were about 16 more like it on the camera.
And lastly, a shot of the hostel “complex” from the cable cars. Notice the wood “replica” of our house on top of the landlord’s house. We just rented it as our tool room/work room for about $16/month. It currently looks like a cute log cabin on the outside, and an old abandoned mine on the inside. But who can complain for that price?! And of course the new massive monster building above us. Still waiting to see what will come of that building. We’re just crossing our fingers it doesn’t come down upon us in an earthquake.
